Meet your new floral BFF - The Tape Grid Method!
In Carnations, Hydrangeas, and Roses, I mentioned using the tape grid method. While I’m certaintly not a pro, I’m not sure why it never clicked until somewhat recently to use this method on a regular basis, but now that it finally has, it’s rare that I DON’T use while creating my arrangements. The best part is that the tape can be easily concealed, so you don’t have to worry about it taking away from the beauty of your arrangement.
Here’s what you need:
Floral OR Scotch tape
Scissors
TIP: Floral tape is more water resistant, HOWEVER Scotch tape works just fine. Plus, you’re also more likely to have scotch tape around the house than floral tape lol.
Remember playing “Tic tac toe” back in the day? Well, here’s where it comes in handy -
Meet your new BFF, The Tape Grid Method!
As you can see, this hack is pretty self explanatory. First, fill your vase with water (with flower food of course!), then use your tape to replicate the old school “tic tac toe” across the top of your vase. From there, start filling with your handpicked beauties! Regardless of the size of your arrangement, this hack is a fool-proof gem, and allows you to play around with placement before you put the finishing touch on your arrangement!
